Root Beer Syrup for Root Beer Fanatics!!!

If you love root beer you’ll love these pancakes with root beer and root beer syrup!!!  YUM!!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 12 oz bottle of River City Root Beer
  • 1/2 c of white sugar
  • pancake mix
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 12 oz bottle of River City Root Beer

Instructions

  1. in sauce pan caramelize sugar and 1/2 bottle of River City Root Beer
  2.  use pancake mix with 2 tsp butter and 1/2 bottle of River City Root Beer
  3. cook on griddle makes about

pour sauce over pancakes and serve hot!!

 Root Beer BBQ Sauce on Beef Sandwiches!

These were easy and fun to make.  Homemade BBQ Sauce is the best kind.  This is the original red  sauce style recipe.  Also,  I’ve added additional ingredients since a trip to Nashville opened my eyes to the world of BBQ sauces styles and  I’ll post those in another recipe.  The Root Beer gives it that sweet flavor that goes so well with meat.  You can make a lot of this sauce at one time and it only gets better with time.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 bottle River City Root Beer
  • tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c Worcestershire
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. corn starch
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • meat of your choice
  • bread of your choice
Instructions
  • spray cook pot with olive oil
  • sauté minced garlic until brown
  • add brown sugar, ketchup, River City Root Beer, Worcestershire
  • bring to a boil
  • optional – for a thicker sauce add corn starch to tablespoon of water mix well and add to sauce, bring back to a boil.
  • BBQ meat of your choice – slice and put bread of your choice ( we prefer pretzel buns) and add coleslaw and River City Root Beer BBQ sauce.

River City Root Beer Sliced Marinated BBQ Ribs:

River City Root Beer Marinade for 3 days and then Basted with Root Beer Mixture. These are Delicious and you can taste the Root Beer Flavor in every bite. Serve with Coleslaw and a River City Root Beer!!! 5 YUMS!!!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 bottle of River City Root Beer
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1tbsp minced garlic
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 bottles of River City Root Beer or enough to marinate ribs

Orange Creamsicle Cake made with River City Orange Cream Craft Soda!  Super Delicious!!!

This is one of the Best Cakes I’ve ever eaten.  It took a few tries to perfect the recipe but I think I got it right.  I’ve had requests to bring this cake many times since.

Ingredients
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant lemon pudding mix
  • 3/4 bottle River City Orange Cream
  • 1/2 c  vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp lemon extract or optional River City Blueberry Old Fashioned Lemonade – drink the rest!
  • 1/3 River City Orange Cream
  • 2/3 c white sugar
  • 1/4 c butter
Instructions for Cake
  • add cake mix and pudding mix
  • stir in oil, eggs, 3/4 bottle of River City Orange Cream & tsp lemon extract or River City Blueberry Lemonade
  • beat until smooth
Instructions for Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, cook 1/3 bottle of River City Orange Cream, sugar and melted butter for 2 minutes. Drizzle over cake or poke holes with wooden spoon in the bottom of the cake while still in bundt pan and pour 1/2 the syrup in holes.
